Mark Williams began his ATF career in 1991 as an ATF Inspector in Denver. He spent 7 years working primarily in Colorado and Wyoming conducting inspections of Firearms and Explosives industry members and specialized in excise tax revenue audits of distilled spirits, wine and beer producers. Mark moved to Washington, D.C. and worked in ATF’s Intelligence Division and Firearms Programs Division where he served as the Bureau’s firearms technical advisor. Mark was promoted to the supervisory ranks and served as an Area Supervisor in Little Rock, Arkansas. With a staff of 10 industry operations investigators, Mark was responsible for industry operations mission objectives for the State of Arkansas and portions of Mississippi and Louisiana and served in this capacity for 5 years.
Mark is currently back at ATF Headquarters were he serves as a Program Manager with the Field Management Staff. Here, Mark serves to assist the Deputy Assistant Director for Industry Operations with regard to all Industry Operations matters. He plays a major role in development and implementation of policy for Industry Operations Investigators in the field.
Mark holds a Master’s degree from the University of Colorado at Denver.
